You can change them at the banks / Bureau De Change in White Sand Beach, Klong Prao, Kai Bae or Bangbao. So no reason it will be a problem and no reason to change it at your hotel as they would offer you a very bad rate.

Easier to use your cashcard in one of the many ATM machines around the island, and I believe it works out cheaper doing it that way, even with the 150B fee they add on locally. I think Nationwide still doesn%26#39;t charge for overseas withdrawals?

I think these days most people travel with cash cards or visas. It%26#39;s so much easier to access money at atms than hunting around for travellors cheque places. Banks also offer travel cards that you can put a certain amount of cash on and then use it like a normal visa card at atm.

Maybe it%26#39;s a good idea to have a little money in travellers cheques, if you want to be on the very safe side.

Last week, most of Koh Changs ATMs didn%26#39;t work for more than a day.

If you don%26#39;t have or like cards, what%26#39;s the option?
