Hi there, can anyone tell me what the weather does in Krabi in Mid June time?
Thanks,
Emma
Krabi - best time to go?
It tends to be very wet, but it%26#39;s warm rain and usually not continuous. It might spill every few hours or just once a day or so. Continuous rain is possible, but rare. In between, it will be sunny or partly cloudy. The sea tends to be rough, many ferries aren%26#39;t running, and accommodation, particularly on outlying islands, is sometimes shut down or operating at a low-season low.
The east coast, and the islands Samui Phangnan and Tao have better weather during that period of the year.
Krabi - best time to go?
That%26#39;s hot season in Krabi. It is also the best time for travelling to Thailand.
So there%26#39;s two completely conflicting answers?!
Anyone else?
Snow?
I%26#39;m afraid nattycandy is simply not correct.
Krabi has two seasons: the hot, dry season from November to April, and the rainy season from May to October. This can vary according to the year, but June is usually fairly wet.
I was in Trang (nearby) in June one year, and when it wasn%26#39;t raining, it was so humid that walking down the street felt like swimming.
In June, the average rainfall is 212 mm. In February, it%26#39;s 30 mm. The rainiest month is September. The hottest months are March and April.
Here%26#39;s a good description of low season in Krabi: www.yourkrabi.com/low-season-in-krabi.php
Hi Emma,
Take a look at this post by lost_farang on a month by month general guide for Krabi weather:
tripadvisor.com/…16911256
This should clear up any misunderstandings.
Also in the upper right hand corner of the Krabi forum are some good FAQs on the area that might interest you.
Thanks very much for your help.
I don%26#39;t know if it will stop me going, it%26#39;s a stop off on a 3 month travel round SE Asia....
