Reputable Car Hire Companies in Krabi

We%26#39;re looking at hiring a car in Krabi so we can do a bit of our own touring, then driving it to Kata and maybe keeping it for a day or two there to drive around Phuket - thinking of having it maybe a total of 4 or 5 days. Can anyone please recommend reputable car hire companies based in Ao Nang that will let us drop it off in Phuket? We%26#39;ve been told the drive from Krabi to Phuket is quite nice - sounds more appealing than an overcrowded ferry (we%26#39;re going in January).

There are quite a few hire car companies in Krabi and yes the drive is quite scenic.

If you have the time take the drive to Phuket via Khao Lak stopping overnight there before heading on to Phuket the next day. Each leg is only about 2-3 hrs plus sightseeing along the way. Roads are all good and well sign posted.

I%26#39;ll stop short of recommending any hire companies, but be aware there will be additional costs for one way drop off.
