Hi, Finding several options for luxury airport transfer service. Does anyone have recommendations or experience with Asiaweb, which is listed as 1000 baht each way. Going to Karon.

Hi, my experience of a “Limo” in Phuket is a Toyota Camry for about 800 Baht that doesn’t take you to the jewellers, tailors or some shop if they can’t pick you as first timers.

Where are you getting a Mercedes from, Mom Tris?

Hi, are you sure it is THB1,000 to Karon in a Mercedes Benz with AsiaWeb. Is Asia Web as in Asia Web Direct.

It is showing THB1,550.00

It is just a normal E class Mercedes,not the S class-nothing really to give the ';wow'; factor,unless,you want to experience a ride in a diesel engined Mercedes.

@ mKiaratravel Must have been looking at an old page. Well that matches the hotels prices for a luxury pickup.

@ shwaygwailo The hotel would arrange a luxury ';limo'; (described as a BMW 5) for us.

After over 24 hours of travelling, I just want someone waiting for us at the airport to take us to our hotel no hassles. It%26#39;s not so much the type of car as the overall comfort and ease.

There will be a metered taxi waiting for you. It will cost about 500 baht and will use the same roads as a limousine.

You did not mention how many persons traveling with you and it certainly makes a difference for any kind of accurate recomendation for the type of vehicle used.

It%26#39;s two of us with 2 carry-on suitcases.

Metered taxi%26#39;s is the way to go then if there are only two of you plus luggage.

Go the mercedes! It%26#39;s just so much nicer. I did the taxi and the merc and the merc is by far the best way to go especially after travelling that long. Sure it uses the same roads as so obviously stated earlier but damn, lifes to be enjoyed and for a few extra bucks why not enjoy it.

I will not go with the Luxury Airport Transport because they drive like maniacs! I live near the main road to the airport and for some reason they drive so much faster and crazier than anyone else. Is it because they think the people they are carrying are that much more important?

I am sure there are some good drivers, but

please do not just sit there if your driver is going 140kms/hr zooming around motorbikes and endangering other people*s lives. Say something and tell them to slow down! At least for your own safety…

I really think that they think driving at crazy speeds is what foreigners expect out of a luxury service.
