Evason Horse Riding & Monkey Mountain

Hi There

9 year old daughter is also asking how far Monkey mountain is from Evason, and is there any horse riding near by and also is there anywhere she can go snorkelling.

O well there goes my peaceful rest then lol

Evason Horse Riding %26amp; Monkey Mountain

Monkey Mountain is in Takiab which is just south of HH so I would assume it would take around 30 minutes from the Evason. I%26#39;m not aware of any horse riding at the hotel or nearby, there is an adventure park close to Takiab which might do horse riding but on my last visit there I don%26#39;t recall seeing any horses. There are horses to ride along the beach which some say avoid but from what I%26#39;ve seen the horses do look well cared for. The only other place I know that you can go horse riding is at the Cha Am ATV park which would be about an hour from the Evason.

I stayed at the Dusit Thani Resort in Hua Hin earlier this year and they have stables there as it used to be a polo club! They offer lessons for all ages but I believe that you are only allowed to ride in the paddocks. The grooms are very friendly and let me into the stables to see the hores who all seemed well looked after. As far as I know you don%26#39;t have to be a hotel guest to ride there. I haven%26#39;t been to Monkey Mountain but there is a National Park not far from Hua Hin (I think about 1 1/2 hours drive) that has an artificial lake called Kaeng Krajarn Lake. On an island In the centre of it live a troop of long-tailed macaques - they are very cute and entertaining. You ride out on a boat and and are given bananas to throw to the monkeys and they swim out to take them from you! I%26#39;m sure your daughter would love it!
