Cheap Airfares

Hi I need help, my husband %26amp; myself are trying to find a cheap arifare from Brisbane, Australia to Bangkok on the 22 Nov %26amp; then onto Chiang Mai or preferably Chiang Rai %26amp; then from Bangkok to Brisbane on about 1st or 2nd December. HELP!!!

Cheap Airfares

check out airasia...

www.airasia.com

they fly from the goldcoast to KL and have sale fares from $149 each way including taxes... you can then fly from KL to CM or CR directly without having to go to bangkok unless you were planning on staying here ( but the way i read it you just wanted to change flights)

flightd from KL to CM are really cheap less than $20 AUD.

you will have to add on the costs of luggage and meals but should still be cheaper than others...

Cheap Airfares

We flew with Air Asia in July %26amp; the flights were good, have been on their site %26amp; return for 2 people are approx $1500 %26amp; then to CM they are $360 one way (very expensive) for when we need to fly. The cheapest at the moment seem to be Thai Airways Bris to BK. We were hoping to get cheaper as we are on a tight budget this time around.

Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your help, my husband %26amp; I were in Thailand in July %26amp; flew Air Asia %26amp; the fares were good. This time around they are very expensive, we have probably left it too late. They are $514 one way from Bris to KL %26amp; then anywhere between $300 %26amp; returning from CM to BK they are $514!!!!!

It is cheaper to go by Thai Airways from Bris to BK.

Thanks

It sounds like you may have left it too late to grab good fares with AirAsia but here is a handy hint if you book with them in future.

Rather than book a return ticket which will be priced in Aussie dollars, book a one way ticket to KL (AUD) and a one way ticket from KL to the Gold Coast. This home leg will be much cheaper as the flight originates in Malaysia where AirAsia can pick up cheap fuel. Note that this flight will be priced in Malaysian Ringett. Preferably you would pay the flight home with a Wizard Clear Advantage Mastercard as it gives you a very keen exchange rate as well.

It does seem flying from Brisbane to KL is expensive, however, flying Air Asia from KL to Bangkok seems to only be about 4600 bht ROUND trip which is only about $148 AUD per person. Then flying from BKK to CM is quite cheap at than $87 pp round trip. I was using your dates of Nov 22 and Dec 2.

You don%26#39;t want to hear this but AA have had sales for about the last three weeks for flights in November.

I think you have missed the boat. for November.

The only other thing I%26#39;d suggest is looking at Royal Brunei.

They fly Brisbane into Bangkok, with a short stop at Brunei.

They have had good fares lately.

But, very short notice.

Caroline.

I just had a look at your dates on Air Asia.

They have flights on your exact dates for about 730A$ return Gold Coast to KL.

Then - yes, about $330 KL - CM return.

Still, that%26#39;s just over $1000A for a return to Chaing Mai.

You could also try KL - BK - CM (you might save some on that way, but more hassel).
