November trip

Hi we are going to Bandara resort and spa mid Nov for my 50th. We have 2 days shopping in Bangkok first and was wondering what shopping was like at Koh Samui in comparison....Any tips be much appreciated I have a addidition to jeans......

November trip

Hi Vicki

Bandara is a great place to relax, beach pool is best at sunset or dawn.Try some toasted banana bread for breakie .Make sure you get a massage down on the beach and enjoy the hawlker food the pineapple on a stick is jucy and fresh mango nice too.The shopping at The Fishing Village 10 min walk away is limited.More shopping at Big Budda and has a couple of good craft shops.Main place to shop in Samui is near the marketplace on Chaweng .Jeans are all the same as tea shirts cheep but not of high quality.I would say better shopping in Bangkok as long as you know where to go.Remember that Bangkok is a big place and unless you take the Sky Train getting around can take for ever.

Hi Vicki

We will be at Bandara at the same time as you. we have tagged Bangkok onto the end of our trip as we believe the shopping is better there. Are you going back to Bangkok after Samui?

If you are on facebook, can I suggest that you join the Bandara fan club?

We are there for 8 days, we stayed last May and really enjoyed it. We might bump into you!

cheers Denis and Jimmy

Shopping in Bangkok is much better - more goods, more selection and often cheaper.

Thanks Keith for the info..........I can%26#39;t wait.... Yippee. Ps I mean about the trip NOT turning 50.

Cheers for that....
