Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has had surgury at yanhee and if so what sort and comments.
My partner and i are going there in 2 weeks 3 days and 13 hours not that were counting lol and getting last minute jitters. My partner is getting Breast Augmentation and Rhinoplasty.
If anyone has comments we%26#39;d love to hear them.
I%26#39;ll also post how our trip was after.
Yanhee International Hospital
Yahnee is famous for complete make overs, changing little boys into little girls. A nose and breast job should be cake.
That said, like most any hospital, they have had complaints / lawsuits.
Yanhee International Hospital
Google Yanhee and you will find a no. of not so favorable comments.
I would not have any such op done in Thailand.
I%26#39;m not defending Yanhee, but if you Google just about any hospital, you%26#39;ll find ';not so favorable'; comments. One of the biggest costs for medical treatment is what we have to pay to cover the malpractice insurance of the hospitals and the doctors. In the field of plastic surgery, it%26#39;s even worse.
Having experienced medical treatment in both the US and in Thailand, so far, I prefer Thailand.

If the OP goes through with this, hopefully there will be a positive comment to turn up on Google!
I%26#39;ve read many enquiries about thai hospitals on this forum. People were determined to have this op here. I%26#39;ve yet to see a feedback on this forum. Nobody ever reported back about Yanhee experience.
We all have diff. opinions on local hospitals. I%26#39;m not too impressed by the service many dish out.
Why would I want to spend hours waiting in a private hospital because they cannot organise their schedules?
And why pay a multiple for drugs which I can buy for a fraction in a good pharmacy outside. I%26#39;m not talking about generic drugs.
A smiling nurse which can%26#39;t speak English and Starbucks in the lobby doesn%26#39;t make a good hospital.
Sounds like someone had a bad experience!

Did you have an appointment?
Sounds like my Stateside experience. I make an appointment, weeks in advance, show up the requested half hour before the appointment, and wait over an hour after the scheduled time.
Here, I walk in, unannounced, and within 15 minutes, I%26#39;m talking to a doctor.

In the States, I can%26#39;t buy the generic for what the branded drug costs at the hospital pharmacy. Besides, I will usually tell the doctor I already have it, and/or blow off the pharmacy if the meds are too expensive. Most drugs, unless they have recreational value, can be bought OTC.

No, but the smile helps! It beats the scowl from most Stateside nurses. And, I%26#39;ve never had a problem with communication.
The Starbucks doesn%26#39;t bother me, but in a hospital, I do find an branch of ';Au Bon PAIN'; a bit tacky! ;-)
Thanks for the feedback, 2 strong views. We%26#39;ve done a lot.... hell of a lot of research and i agree mostly that ppl will post a complaint before a compliment. Anyway we leave next week and will post our hopefully wonderful experience.
I have had surgury at Yanhee hospital in June of last year and I am very pleased with the results. I also had my teeth done there too, again with very pleasing results. The hospital did look a bit %26#39;old%26#39; in places. I hope all goes well.
and how did you pay i was concerned about carrying that much cash i have been told they only except usd and there is no eftpos???

I had a mid face lift and eye lift and have now been home for 4 months.
I am now seeking legal action in relation to my overall horrific experience.
I have medication allergies and despite knowing this they still injected me with that medication and I nearly died. Apart from that I was awake during my eye surgery and could feel the pain and smell the burning from the laser on my eyelids.
Since then I have had no end of issues. I have sutures coming through the skin on my face, tearing around the incision sites behind my ears and my eyes will not open fully anymore.
The scarring is so bad I cannot wear my hair up at all it is so obvious, raised and red.
This is just a skim over the horrific issues that I have experienced. All despite me researching the doctors and the hospital and being reassured that I would be able to return to work after 2-3 weeks. I could not return for 9 weeks due to pain, lethargy and heart issues because of my allergic reaction.
All in all - thailand is cheap for a reason. It is run like a business not a hospital. They cannot speak English and the level of care is appalling.
My advice, don%26#39;t do it!
Especially not a breast augmentation - that is major major surgery.
