I am taking the morning ferry from Phuket and will go back to Phuket on the afternoon ferry.

How long does it take to reach Phi Phi?

With only a couple of hours, what can i do? Is it possible to go to Maya Beach?

Yes, very possible to go to Maya bay, just take one of the many longtail boats there from Phi Phi Don. When are you going? If it%26#39;s during high season, be aware that it will be PACKED with people. I wouldn%26#39;t say it%26#39;s a waste of a day. Phi Phi Lei is spectacular and gorgeous, and well worth seeing if only for a few hours. That%26#39;s my opinion anyway.

Take a walk through Tonsai Village, maybe head up to the viewpoint - depending on whether you are a shopper or a scenery type person, the trip over to Maya Bay is lovely, as the last post said grab a long tail, a beer or two and just kick back and enjoy your time.

My first Trip to Thailand we did a day trip and on my return I spent a week there - it truly is gorgeous and I would use your first time as a general look around to decide if you want to return.

Tonsai is very busy, remember that there are other parts of the island that are removed from the hustle and bustle and worth a visit.

The ferry can take anywher from an hour to 2 1/2 hours - see if you can get on board a speed boat!

I joined a speedboat tour to the islands and beaches around Phi Phi last year. So i went to Maya Bay and Khai Nok. The Speedboat went pass Phi Phi Don but did not stop there. I just want to see for myself what Phi Phi is like, so a couple of hours i dont mind.

I know most of the time will be spent at sea on the Ferry. I am going alone, doubt i will pay for a speedboat on my own, unless i can find people at Rassada Pier to share a speedboat? Do you think that is possible?
