will i get a boat in evening from ao nang to railay bay?

hi, our first time to thailand and trying to sort out my itinerary so we know a bit before we go!

our transfer flight arrives in krabi at 18.10 in early november. ive heard it takes about 1/2 hour to get to ao nang is that right? what is best way of getting from airport to ao nang?

im worried that there will be no boats as it will be late to take us from ao nang to railay bay in the evening? can anyone help? and how much?

also, we have only booked our frist nights hotel in railay bay but are now thinking to stay another night there. am i better off booking before we go or would it be cheaper to ask when we get there?

hope someone can help as only got couple of weeks to go!

You should still be able to find a longtail boat to take you to Railay as long as the water is good, however it will cost more once it is dark. I%26#39;ve never tried myself to or from there after dark. You should just be able to take a taxi from the airport to the pier. I believe there are also busses that run that route though hopefully someone can confirm this.

As you will be coming in early November, you should be ok not booking ahead. And in the offchance that they actually were full, which I doubt, there are still a couple other resorts on west railay that I%26#39;m sure will have openings. Sand sea and Railay village. I LOVE Railay Village myself.. going back there again this December. :) Not sure you would get it any cheaper once you are there though compared to online now.

Have fun!
