LAX to BKK China Southern Airlines?

Hello, I am traveling to Thailand this Christmas and have a seat reserved on Cathay Pacific from LAX to BKK, however another flight from LAX to BKK on China Southern Airlines is significantly cheaper, with many drawbacks.

Has anyone flown China Southern long haul to Guangzhou? If so was there enough space? Personal tv/movie screen? Free alcohol? Sufficient food?

After flying Singapore Airlines, it%26#39;s hard to go back.

I have flown China Southern to Guangzhou 4 yrs ago

nothing to write home about not as good as Cathay or Singapore

but still better than any USA airline

seat Guru should give you all the info.

I did notice that there where mostley asian passengers

which meant few large western passengers to clog up the seats.

so it seems like you have more room.

the airport at Guangzhou is only 4 yrs old

I didn%26#39;t transfer it was my destination

Thanks for the links. For some reason seat guru doesn%26#39;t include China Southern and most of the reviews on the air quality site are for shorter flights within Asia or from Australia. However, there is helpful stuff there.
