Hi everyone,
has anyone stayed this year at the Ancient Realm Resort ?
we%26#39;ve booked to stay there in November for 10 days and I was just wondering what are the prices like in their restaurant and their spa ?? and how do they compare to other places in the area ??
this is just to get an idea what to expect, last time I%26#39;ve been to Thailand was 10years ago ;-)
guess things might have changed a little bit since then...
Ancient Realm --- prices ?
If you%26#39;re a guest there you get 30% off the prices anyway. And the prices are very, very reasonable and the spa is excellent.
Food and drink were pretty comparable when we stayed in November 2008 but I believe they have a better restaurant and bar set up now.
Ancient Realm --- prices ?
Thanks for your advise !! sounds really good to me, do you remember the prices ( just roughly ) in either £ or ThaiBaht ? say how much for a main course and price for the average spa treatment ? still trying to work out how much spending money to take...
Thanks again :-)
I think I worked out that a 90 mins aromatherapy massage was working out at roughly £15 - but that was with an exchange rate of approx. 50 baht to £. Why not e-mail the resort and ask them for the prices?
Food - can%26#39;t remember but was in the same ballpark as everything.
Are you putting anything on credit cards or all cash? I took £350 in baht for 2 weeks and had over £100 left. But, I put massages on the room and paid by card.
Thanks again for your advise Fozzy76 , really appreciate it !!
On their website they only show prices of room rates. It does sound extremly reasonable though, and yes, will bring cash plus credit card for larger amounts, that%26#39;s what we normally do wherever we travel.
Thanks again for the advise, was very helpful... at least have an idea now what to expect in general.
Perhaps they have their own restaurant now, but they used to get the food delivered from Gong Grit, a lovely and popular beach restaurant close by. They have a big menu, and I cannot remember any exact prices. But I am sure that you will get a decent meal with something to drink for about 200-300 baht, or even less. Half the price at very local places, and a lot more at some restaurants and hotels.
