Hello. My fiance and I want to get married in Thailand, well Phucket, Thailand to be exact. Here is our problem, we don%26#39;t know much of anything about Thailand. We have gone to the library and checked out some books, but can%26#39;t really seem to get a grasp on where we want to stay. We want someplace that is very luxurious, that offers wedding, and is on the beach. We would like to be somewhat close to civilazation in the forms of shopping and clubs. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Travel between December and March for the driest weather, but it will also be high season, busy and expensive. Check out any marriage information provided by the US Embassy in Bangkok.

Wedding in Phucket
Hi Amy,
I had my wedding ceremony at Merlin Beach Resort in 2007. I thoroughly recommend this location for a wedding. You are allocated a wedding planner, and the hotel has its own private beach. Our ceremony was located on the grass overlooking the beach. The decorations were lovely. We were given pool access rooms at the same price as delux rooms. The hotel is a 4 star, but I would rate it 5. There is also an amazing swim-up pool bar.
The only downer is the hotel is 10 min away from patong main street, where most restaurants and shopping is. The hotel does supply a free shuttle though (not as often as you would like).
But again I do recommend this hotel a beautiful location for a wedding.

Hi Amy n John,
We were recently married in Phuket,we organized the wedding through http://www.wedding-phuket.com/
We couldn%26#39;t recommend them highly enough,we were married at Rawai beach ,which is about 20 mins from Patong. We stayed at Amari Coral Beach resort,Patong for our Phuket part of our honeymoon, the resort is gorgeous and about a 15 min walk from markets, bars and restaurants,so close enough to the action but not smack bang in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The Amari does offer weddings at the resort, but we opted to go through Tom at wedding-phuket as we wanted a little bit more relaxed and intimate feel for our wedding(and also Tom was priced alot better)
Here is a link to our wedding photos, also have a peek at our other albums,as there are some photos of the Amari

Congratulations on your wedding plans! Most resorts have wedding packages that can be designed to suit your needs. My favorite ones are Katathani, Centara and I heard Vijjit is doing nice weddings.

Adrian %26amp; Kelli, we love your photos! We are getting married in Phuket (flights and accomodation is sorted) in December. Do you recall the name or website of your photographer?
We are staying at the Allamanda Laguna.

Hi,
This is the link to our photographer, he is Thai and has 2 assistant photographers for the day . http://weddingphuket.net/wedding.htm
We were supposed to have Thomas from wedding-phuket.com as our photographer, but due to other commitments, Thomas organized another photographer for the day.
We were so pleased with our photos, the cost of the photographer was included in our wedding package, through wedding-phuket.com
There were actually 600 photos and it was hard to pick our favourites ,as they were all so good.

Thanks Kelli!
