Private transfer from Krabi to Phi Phi & Day Trips-NEED HELP

Hi,

We have scheduled our first trip to Thailand Feb. 27-March 8. I have some questions regarding our itinerary %26amp; specifically on transfers between Krabi/Ao Nang %26amp; Phi Phi %26amp; island hopping.

Island Hoping:

*Is it possible to see Hong + the 4 islands (Chicken, Poda, etc) in a day?

*Do we need to make a reservation for a boat for day trips the first week of March?

Transfer to Phi Phi

*We were thinking of hirring a long tail boat (possibly Andaman) to take us on a ';one way'; day trip to Bamboo %26amp; Phi Phi Le with our luggage %26amp; then get dropped for check in at Phi Phi Don.

Would this work? Has anyone done this?

*How long would it take to get to Phi Phi Don via long tail boat %26amp; are the long tails safe for that long of a journey?

I know this itinerary looks like a lot to cram into 9 days. This will likely be our only trip to Thailand, so we are ok with being on the go %26amp; being a bit tired after the trip!! :)

Sat Feb. 27: Arrive late evening BKK

Sun Feb 28: BKK

Mon March 1: Depart to Krabi

Tues March 2: Day trip to Hong + 4 Islands

Wed March 3: En route to Phi Phi Don via Bamboo %26amp; Phi Phi Le

Thurs March 4: Phi Phi Don

Friday March 5: Depart to Chang Mai via Phuket

Sat March 6: Chang Mai

Sun March 7: Depart to BKK in the evening

Mon March 8: BKK (flight to Seoul at 10:45pm)

Email John and see what he can organize for you. Tell him Gina sent you for a good price. Are you living in Korea? I was there for 5 years! Miss some things about that place.

Thanks but that doesnt really help me with my questions. Does anyone have advice or insight into my itinerary or questions?

Thanks!!!

Love Zen(Gina)--i checked your post history...almost everyone of of your posts simply mentions that link...you are obviously just trying to sell the service and get a spiff which is not appropriate nor helpful when answering specific details of the original posters questions.

Hi winkdaddy,

I think you%26#39;d need to choose between the 4 islands tour or the Hong Island tour in which case, while I haven%26#39;t done the Hong tour yet, I have visited the 4islands a couple times and given the pictures of Hong Island, the land- and sea-scapes seems more dramatic. What might determine it for you is that the 4 island trip is more for snorkeling whereas the Hong tour might be geared more for another feature. Perhaps others might give you their experiences on Hong.

Instead of taking a longtail out to Phi Phi, I think it%26#39;s a lot safer to take the ferry. Or since time is an issue, perhaps check to see if there are any speedboat transfers out to Phi Phi in the early morning. Then get yourself situated on PP Don and do some snorkeling right off of Long Beach or hike out for some views.

The following day, you can then %26#39;do%26#39; a trip out to Phi Phi Leh and around the islands, stopping at various stops for snorkeling too (and especially at Hin Klarng spot).

And instead of heading to Phuket, you could return to Krabi Airport which is closer than Phuket%26#39;s Airport, though perhaps you%26#39;re considering Phuket because it%26#39;s a different route and might offer more flights back to Bangkok for a connecting flight to Chiang Mai. Don%26#39;t forget to allow a minimum of 2 hours for your connecting flight unless you%26#39;re using the same airline that will forward your luggage to the C. Mai flight. .

Your trip is rushed but if this is your only chance to visit and want to hit all those places, then enjoy it. Looks like you%26#39;ve attempted to maximize what you could at each location.

Given that you%26#39;re going at the beginning of March, I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s necessary to book the ferry in advance. I think it%26#39;ll be alright to book once you%26#39;ve arrived in Krabi and on Phi Phi Don (or see if you can also book the return ferry trip from Phi Phi while already in Krabi).

Thanks SEAgypsyLaos, this is very helpful information!!

Winkdaddy...

I haven%26#39;t yet been (going in December, yay!!), and because we%26#39;ll be there in peak season, we decided to book a day trip in advance. The advice the tour provider gave us was to do Hong over the 4 Islands.....
