Laguna Beach Resort Questions

Hi

We are thinking of staying at Laguna Beach Resort at the start of March and was wondering if anyone can help with some questions we have. Last time we went we stayed at Cape Panwa but they said we wouldnt get rooms next to each other or even in the same buildng so looking elsewhere. There will be 4 adults and 2 kids under 3. We like the idea of staying out of Patong but would like to be able to visit for the day. Is there a shuttle or can a taxi hold all of us and roughly how much does it cost? Also they say there is a boat the takes you to other hotels does that mean you can use the other hotels facilities, like pools? Any tips or info would be great!

Thanks

Laguna Beach Resort Questions

Hi

We stayed at Laguna Beach Resort in April 2008 and will be returning there in late March 2010.To say we enjoyed our stay would be an understatement,we travelled with our 4 children aged 5 to 18 and had 2 lagoon view rooms next to each other but not interconnecting. We also did not want to stay in Patong, which is really not the place you want 3 small children, but we did visit in a mini bus that cost around 1300 baht, which can be orgnised at any of the tour shacks located just outside resort on the beach. You can travel between resorts on the ferry and use there facilities for a day fee but when you see the pool at Laguna you will not be going anywhere else for a swim. There are lots of places just outside resort to eat at we liked Tom Yang Gong which was very cheap and service and food was good. One of the highlights of trip was the daily visit to the resort of two elephants, nothing quiet like having a cuppa at breakfast while your 5 year old is feeding an elephant banannas a few feet away!
