Hi All

What is the best diving spot for one day in phuket? I was in Phuket a couple of weeks ago and didn%26#39;t get a chance to dive. Fortunatly for me I will be heading back to paradise over christmas and was wondering if any one had had any good experiances diving in phuket and could recomend and operator. I am an instructor in OZ so looking for a quality dive.

Thanks ; )

Agree it is nice diving at Similans, but IMO too far for a daytrip.

Also, because of distance plus park fees quite expensive for a daytrip.

I%26#39;m diving this Sunday with Sea-bees.

They call it Super Sundays as it consists of 4 dives. I was not sure if I had the stamina to do 4 dives in a day but I thought to my self that I%26#39;m only in Phuket for a week so why not make the most of it.

The itinerary I have been given is as follows: -

Pick up from hotel (Cape Panwa) @ 07:30am %26amp; returning 21:30 - 22.00 at night.

Phi Phi Island - a group of impressive limestone islands. A number of caves can be explored as well as a wealth of underwater life, including lionfish, scorpionfish and a kaleidoscope of hard and soft corals. Two of our four “Super Sunday'; dives will be done at these islands. An additional third dive is at Shark Point and the fourth, a night dive, goes to Koh Doc Mai.

Shark Point - a rock just breaking the surface near Anemone Reef. There is an enormously vast variety of fish life, sea snakes, moray eels, soft coral and anemones. Leopard sharks and nurse sharks are frequently seen at this site.

Koh Doc Mai - a huge rock in the open water, located between Phuket and Shark point. This drop off goes down to 30 meters at one side and at the other side it slopes up to right under the surface. The wall is covered in hard and soft coral, gorgonians and on the east side of the rock are two caves.
