On our last visit in August last year construction on a new wing and pool area had just started. We will be returning early next year and was just wondering if anyone knows if it is finished yet.

Hi,
Renovations anywhere in Phuket are generally done quite swiftly. We stayed at the Burasari in March of this year and the renovations had begun a week before and ended the week we left. They were major renovations too.
Just a suggestion though, there are heaps of hotels in the Patong area. Why not suss out a different one?

We stayed at the Patong Merlin this year last 2 weeks in August the renovations are not finished they didnt in any way impact on us staying there they are suposed to be fully complete by March/April 2010 when we were there the foundations were down thats about it.
